Binder cover that looks like a purse!

binder

I started a new job last week, so I knew I’d need a little more organization. I was going to need to start keeping track of schedules and budgets and such more closely, so I put together a little binder with all my dividers in it, but didn’t want to have to carry around a binder to and from work all the time, so I sewed together a little binder cover, that when folded up, looks like a purse. I {Read More}

Playhouse bed for little girls. Too cute!

playhousebed

This is such a cute cute CUTE idea. My daughter would LOVE this. If only my husband was a little more handy with a saw… Lol. I might have to get my father-in-law in on this project once we get our own house (we’re just renting right now.) Here’s information from the original blog post. Click HERE to go to my ‘For the Home’ board on Pinterest and check out lots of other neat ideas for the home that I’ve {Read More}

Crayon Wallet for the Craft Fair!

colorwallet

I’m going to be setting up a booth at the craft fair in town in October. I’ve been working on different things throughout the year trying to decide what I’m going to make. I don’t want a huge variety of things… b/c they’ll already have so much to look at at the craft fair… I don’t want to ‘overwhelm’ them. I want to decide on a few of my very best things to have at my booth. I’d rather have {Read More}

Cute little ruffled diaper cover!

diapercover2

I made this cute little ruffled diaper cover for my niece. She will be turning 1 on Wednesday and her party is on Saturday. She will be wearing this cute little ‘Crafting with Arica’ diaper cover when she tears into her cake. Haha. I love this little pattern. How do you like it? More ruffles? Less ruffles? No ruffles? Get in touch with me and I can get you one made in any style/color combo you want!

Ripple blanket crochet pattern!

rippleblanket

I started crocheting a blanket a few evenings ago. Still haven’t gotten very far… it’s one of those ‘works in progress’. I have SO many of those. Lol. But when I do finish it, it will look something like this blanket, only different colors. I’ve got some Caron Simply Soft yarn that I’m using in a soft purple, a light ‘mossy’ type green, and a variagated yarn with those two colors and a couple others in it. I think it’s {Read More}

Make your own paper!

paper

I was sitting here with my sister trying to figure out what craft we wanted to do tonight after the kids went to bed and we decided to try and make or own homemade paper. We went to an art festival downtown this past weekend and saw a booth setup with things made from homemade paper. It looked really neat, so we wanted to give it a try. We googled how to make it, and realized we have everything we {Read More}

Repurpose: Dresser to entry bench!

dresserbench

How amazingly cute does this look?! It’d be super easy to do with a cheap junk dresser you pick up at a garage sale or a thrift store.  Click on the picture above or HERE to see how it’s done!

Disney Princess inspired dresses!

dresses

My daughter absolutely loves all of the Disney princesses and really enjoys dressing up like them. She has pretty much all of the dress-up costumes, but they aren’t really made to wear out in public… so I used an existing ‘pillowcase dress’ pattern that I had to make her some Disney princess inspired dresses that she could wear around anywhere. In the picture above, I have so far made Snow White and Sleeping Beauty. What do you think?

Crayon Wallet. My latest project :)

colorwallet2

This is a Crayon Wallet. My newest sewing craft project. This was my first attempt at making one of these, so, in a couple of the pictures you will see that the seam is off and the notebook (which should actually fit perfectly in the pocket) is a bit taller than the actual Crayon Wallet. I messed up one of the crayon pockets, and there’s another seam on the inside that’s crooked, too… but hey… we’re our own worst critics, {Read More}

My Memorial Day outfit – My first attempt at a dress

dress

I’ve only been sewing for a few weeks but I think I’ve come pretty far from the beginning. I thought, what better way to show off my new hobby than to wear one of my own creations to the family Memorial Day cookout?! So, the night before, I whipped up this super cute dress. Well, I love it, anyway. It took me less than an hour to make. I made a matching headband to go with it, too. What do {Read More}
